Celebrate the unveiling of the ICA’s Spring 2023 season as we open Navine G. Dossos: McLean and the group exhibition So it appears, featuring over 40 works by 19 international artists on abstraction (or so it appears at first sight). The season premiere celebrates the second stage of MURRMUR, with new commissions by artists and designers Sam Taylor, Nicole Kilian and Riley Hooker and the continuation of Rafael Domenech: The Medium is the Massage.
In addition to the exhibitions, there will be a conversation with the curator and artists of So it appears (including Levester Williams, Navine G. Dossos, and Sharon Mashih) followed by a live performance by artist and musician Sadaf Nava, who draws on global influences, traditional Middle Eastern instrumentation and free jazz noise violin, and the stylistically versatile DJ Haram who equally draws on her roots of Middle Eastern dance music and DIY noise and experimental sound. There will be snacks provided and a cash bar.

While this event is free and open to all, we encourage people to RSVP here.
