At VCUarts, you can take part in programs led by our faculty, participate in an exchange program with a school in another country, or get a Dean’s International Study Grant to travel to new places and conduct research that matters to you. VCU’s Global Education Office helps you put it all together.

VCU is also part of a network of more than 300 universities in which you can study. University of São Paulo or the Shenkar College of Engineering and Design in Israel, Beijing Foreign Studies University or the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda in India—where in the world do you want to go?

Grants and Scholarships

Dean’s International Study Grants (Undergraduate)

Each year, the VCUarts dean’s office awards up to $25,000 to students to pursue special interests and research abroad.

Graduate Student Travel Grant

VCUarts awards grants to support graduate students’ professional travel for conferences, and for performances and exhibitions of their work.

National Scholarship Office

The National Scholarship Office supports VCU students and alumni interested in applying for prestigious national and international scholarships and fellowships.

Students may consider a program provider with whom VCU has an established agreement. Programs are available in a variety of countries, with courses often taught in English. Pre-approved providers include:

VCUarts Qatar

For more than 20 years, our campus in Doha, Qatar, has been the premier destination for arts and design students in the region. The close partnership between our two campuses has led to many opportunities for cross-cultural exchange, from study abroad and conferences to the annual Qatar Day celebration in Richmond.
