Emily Wyman began working in locations in 2014, beginning at the Virginia Film Office where she managed the projects and locations database and assisted productions of all sizes. While at the film office, Emily helped in attracting and securing feature and episodic projects like “Loving,” “Imperium,” “Mercy Street,” “Permanent” and Season 7 of Homeland. She left the film office in 2017 to work full time on Homeland as their Location Scout and has been freelancing ever since.

Wyman received her BS from James Madison University in Public Policy and will openly admit she never expected to work in film. Her odd-job list of qualifications tangential to production include: coordinating special events for a catering company, working in restaurants, managing a college radio station, interning on a biodynamic farm, assisting wedding coordinators, and being willing to cold-call/ talk to anyone.
