Dae Newman

Dae Newman is the Academic Affairs Coordinator for the Cinema Program, Department of Communication Arts, Department of Kinetic Imaging, and Department of Photography + Film. They hold a BA in English and an M.Ed in Educational Leadership from Virginia Commonwealth University, and have worked at VCU since 2015. Dae also serves on Equality VCU, VCU’s LGBTQIA+ faculty and staff advocacy group, and has volunteered as a Safe Zone workshop facilitator. Dae writes short fiction, novels, and screenplays and enjoys working with the local writing community.
