Cynthia Myron is Assistant Chair and Assistant Professor in the Department of Craft/Material Studies. Prior to joining Craft/Material Studies, she was the Administrative Director in the Department of Art History at VCUarts for more than a decade. Myron’s artwork addresses privilege, class, and material consumption, and has been exhibited at venues including Spartanburg Museum of Art, Taubman Museum of Art, the Branch Museum of Architecture and Design, and Chelsea Center for the Arts. She has also been a resident studio artist at Marywood University, the Branch Museum of Architecture and Design and Artist Residency Chattanooga. Myron received her MFA in Metalsmithing from VCUarts, and her BFA in Sculpture from Marywood University.
