Beth Davis is elated to join the faculty at VCU! She is passionate about teaching voice and empowering singers to unlock their full potential. Beth recently moved to the area from Seattle, where she was a voice teacher for ten years: mostly in her own private studio, as well as Village Theatre and Seattle Pacific University. She is experienced with all ages/genres, and is particularly sought after for teaching pop, jazz, and musical theatre (CCM) styles. Beth’s students have received countless roles, awards and acceptances to top Classical Voice, Commercial Music and Musical Theatre programs. Locally, she has taught at SPARCThe Hurrah Players, and Virginia Theatre Association. She is also Managing Director of A Cappella Academy. Beth studied Vocal Performance/Music Education at Ithaca College and CSU Northridge. Favorite past roles include: Fiona (Shrek), Susan (title of show), The Witch (Into the Woods), and Zita (Gianni Schicchi).
