VCUarts faculty members’ project featured in The New York Times

The New York Times recently featured VCUarts associate professor Susie Ganch for her work as co-founder of Radical Jewelry Makeover (R.J.M), an international mining and recycling project. The article highlights several organizations and industry leaders working together as a cooperative to introduce more sustainable practices to the world of jewelry making. Ganch, faculty in the Department of Craft/Material Studies in the area of metals, co-founded R.J.M with her colleague Kathleen Kennedy who is an adjunct faculty member and metals area coordinator. In the article, Ganch discusses her organization’s mission, expansion and community involvement.
