AFO SPUKHAUS 2023

The Anderson and the VCUarts Art Foundation Program (AFO) are thrilled to present Spukhaus 2023, AFO’s annual haunted house-inspired art experience!
*For the 6–9pm Friday event, all attendees must sign up for a tour in order to enter the building and experience Spukhaus.

Tours will start every 5 minutes beginning at 6pm and ending at 8:55pm. Secure your individual time slot on the sign-up sheet linked above! Online sign-ups will end at 4pm on October 27th. If you do not sign up online in advance for a tour, you must sign up at the door for the next available tour time (if any remain available) and you will likely wait at least 30 minutes for entry.
Upon arriving at The Anderson, you will check in for your tour outside the building, then head to the front entrance and wait for your tour time to be called. Tours will begin on the second floor. Visitors will be led on a mind-bending, bone-chilling tour through the upper three floors of The Anderson’s altered galleries. The tour route will require attendees to pass through a few narrow, dark spaces and stairwells. The tour ends on the second floor, where visitors will be welcome to grab a screenprinted tote (while supplies last!) before they head out. Please note that the building is not handicap accessible and does not have an elevator.
Metered on-street parking is available on Franklin Street and the surrounding streets.
**Visitors may also come by The Anderson 10:30am-2pm Saturday to view the Spukhaus installations. No guided tours will be held during that time.
