Hot Ecology: Hudson Valley
The pending closure of dozens of 1960’s-era nuclear plants around the United States opens a new chapter of decommissioning and remediation activities that will transition these nuclear sites to new uses. Hot Ecology describes the ecological and political environment of these post-nuclear landscapes.
Hot Ecology: Hudson Valley focuses with curiosity on Indian Point, a Hudson River nuclear facility located 40 miles north of New York City, by examining ecological impacts of decommissioning and remediation on surrounding communities.
