Monica Kinsey

As the Administrative Coordinator at The Anderson, Monica manages administrative tasks related to gallery operations, exhibitions, and events, which includes close collaboration with artists, departments, and vendors; coordination of promotional and exhibition-related materials; and other elements of exhibition and event management. She also oversees a team of Gallery Assistants and interns. She earned both her BA and MA in Art History from VCU, where she acted as the President of the Art History Graduate Student Association and received the Bruce M. Koplin Award in Museum Studies. As an arts administrator and organizer, Monica has supported Richmond art organizations in a number of roles since 2013. She has worked as a Regional Art Coordinator for the Capital One Art Program, a Gallery Assistant at Page Bond and ADA Galleries, and served as the Volunteer Coordinator for 1708 Gallery’s InLight, CURRENT Art Fair, the Visual Arts Center of Richmond’s Craft + Design show, art auctions, and more.
