Exhibition Statement

Unfolding in an exhibition and series of events from February 1st to March 1st on the top floor of The Anderson, Black Fidelity: From the Roots Up is a project from VCU Black student organizations that features artworks underscoring themes that reflect one’s roots, culture, and elements that shape them. The Black Fidelity mission is dedicated to reclaiming agency over the story told by white power, reforming public perceptions of difference, and representing the past and future realities of Black identity through different art mediums.
