The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts invites the VCU community to a conversation and feedback session with the Community Engagement for Museum Expansion (CEME) Taskforce.

Tell Us What You Think

Help us shape VMFA’s future. We invite you to be part of the process as we begin the next exciting chapter in the museum’s history.

VMFA has begun an expansion and renovation project with the international architecture firm SmithGroup. Tentatively scheduled to be completed in 2027, the additions and renovations will enable us to share more art, welcome more visitors, and provide more enjoyment on a seamless journey through the museum’s collections. The project is, at its core, an expansion of storytelling, and we want the community to see itself reflected in VMFA—in the art, in the space, and in the planning. Join us for a facilitated discussion.
