The Department of Communication Arts invites all Communication Arts Students and Faculty – as well as those in the larger VCU community – to a special guest lecture forum discussion on March 14th, in person, in the VCU Student Commons Theater from 1pm – 3pm!
We are hosting Art Directors from the AAA gaming industry: Ben Greene, of Gearbox Studios, and Marcus Dublin, founder of the outsourcing studio, Art Bully Productions. Marcus and Ben will be discussing their journeys from artists to directors in the gaming sphere, exchanging perspectives on challenges and opportunities. They’ll elaborate on their criteria for evaluating portfolio submissions and provide specialized guidance for pursuing careers as artists in this field. The session will conclude with an interactive Q&A.
