Eleanor Mahin Thorp is an artist currently living and working in Richmond, Virginia. She received her MFA from Virginia Commonwealth University and her BFA from Weber State University. Born in the UK, she grew up in the mountainous deserts of Utah. She is interested in the deterioration of land and stone. Working in large scale pastels, Eleanor uses pigments to think about the lively nature of Earth’s materials.
