How to use it:

An acronym for “what you see is what you get”, a WYSIWYG editor is a component that allows you to populate, edit, and format content in a form closely resembling the final layout of the rendered text. It has a number of built-in markup options and a familiar interface—allowing for significant flexibility. The WYSIWYG editor is capable of styling many different elements.

Stats

The Stats component conveys impactful statistics or quick facts to a visitor. It supports the stories or messages on a page and provides an entry point for visitors to learn more. It’s accompanied by a title, description, and optional CTA to add further context.

Dalha, Dungeons & Dragons Character Design Project

This assignment, creating a character for the game Dungeons & Dragons, was the start of a 3 part project in my 2021 Imagery for Sci-Fi and Fantasy class. The various D&D character races and classes (ex: human wizard, elf bard, etc. ) were useful starting points in building something visually interesting. I decided on a character with an Ursine race (half human and half bear) and a Druid class (having nature based magic abilities).

Too Faced’s Ribbon Wrapped Lash Mascara

Winner of makeup brand Too Faced’s The Wrapped Masterpiece art competition for creating an artwork that best captured the energy of their new Ribbon Wrapped Lash Mascara. The contest award was $10,000 and her painting is currently hung up in Too Faced’s headquarters in Beverly Hills.

Meet Rachel Farzan (B.F.A ’25) , a Communication Arts student recipient of the VCUarts Undergraduate Research Grant. Rachel created her game Closing at 2 alongside three of her peers, Natalie Reyes, Olivia McCabe, and Cameron Krainock, for her Intro to Game Dev class in 2023. With the support of Professor Jason Bennett, they were accepted to showcase their game at MAGFest (Music and and Gaming Festival) earlier this year.
