This juried exhibition explored the theme of chosen family and its role in the survival of the queer community.
I’m So Glad I Met You was the second annual QuAC juried exhibition at The Anderson, on view from February 6 – February 28th, 2026.
Exhibition Statement:
I’m So Glad I Met You is an exhibition centered around the theme of chosen family and its role in the survival of the queer community. This refers to family groups that are made by choice, rather than biology. Based around solidarity and care, these surrogate relationships are often made out of necessity when people are cast out from their blood families for living as their true selves. In the current political climate, community and found family play a special role and are important in our everyday life now more than ever.
