The Chesterfield County Fair Association (CCFA) is looking for VCU Arts students interested in volunteering as photographers at the 2026 Chesterfield County Fair, running August 28 through September 5.
CCFA is offering student photographers a rare behind-the-scenes look at one of the premier, IAFE award-winning county fairs in the country. Student volunteers will have the unique opportunity to work alongside Senior Photographer and CCFA Board Member Paul Diming, who brings ten years of experience shooting fairs and pageants.
It’s a high-energy, multi-day event, and having VCU students involved would be a tremendous asset to the fair’s visual documentation and coverage.
Volunteering at the Chesterfield County Fair is a great way for photography students to build their portfolio, earn certified community service hours, and gain real-world event shooting experience — all while enjoying free admission, meal vouchers, and access to live entertainment including free concerts with top regional bands.
