Inaugural VCU Jazz Benefit Concert

The Arts at VCU are pleased to present an evening of jazz and community connection at the Institute for Contemporary Art at the Markel Center. The event will honor the late dean Murry N. DePillars’ remarkable contributions to VCUarts and the Richmond creative community. Dr. DePillars served as dean of VCUarts from 1976 to 1995.

The Arts at VCU along with Murry N. DePillars Student Fund Advisory Group invite you to join them for this special event. Proceeds from this inaugural jazz benefit concert will aid VCUarts students in need of financial assistance for unexpected emergency expenses. Ticket sales directly support the DePillars Student Fund which aims to prevent one emergency from derailing a student’s progress toward a degree.

Advisory Group:
Mr. Victor K. Branch
Dr. Daryl C. Dance
Mrs. Mary L. DePillars
Mr. Brian K. Jackson, Esq.
