The Anderson and VCUarts are pleased to present Huna Wa Hunak: Convergent Practices in Design, an exhibition at The Anderson as part of Qatar Week 2026.
Huna Wa Hunak, Arabic for “here and there,” brings together Interior Design students from VCUarts Richmond and VCUarts Qatar in a cross-campus collaboration, as two senior studio classes participate in Steelcase’s 2026 NEXT Student Design Competition.
Through weekly virtual collaboration and critique sessions, students work in groups across a seven-hour time difference to develop and discuss proposals in real time.
Taking shape concurrently at The Anderson in Richmond and the Saffron Hall Project Space in Doha, each exhibition shows what was made here alongside what was made there. Together, they celebrate the relationship between the campuses and mark an important step toward a shared studio culture.
The exhibition will be on view through Saturday, October 31st.
