For 20 years Joel Moses ran a professional ceramics studio with a focus on raku pottery. For eight of those years he worked as a designer and exhibitor in the High Point Furniture Market. With international sales his pottery and techniques were featured in two books on the art of ceramics. He then turned to teaching, first in art, for eight years, then in ESL for 16 years with the Richmond School system. In retirement, his studio work focuses on the development of a sculptural form he calls a ‘double walled vessel’.
