Asian American Pacific Islander Affinity (AAPIA) is looking for any and all creatives! Need help opening your business? Want a team to assist you at your exhibition? Need artists, writers, creators for your next project? Would you like to create opportunities for your portfolio, cv, or resume? All Majors and All Experience levels are encouraged!
This is a low-commitment creative collective of students/creatives who get to pick and choose projects they would like to work on or choose not to work on. The projects come on a rolling-basis and you do not have to commit to working on any that do not interest you. AAPIA aims to bring together creatives from all over campus and give them creative, artistic opportunities outside of academics, to hobbyists, and non-art majors that want to have more professional work.
The procedure: You will be invited to a group chat with a group of like-minded creatives. Throughout the year, different projects and opportunities will be pitched by other artists, businesses, clubs, or even from AAPIA itself. You will be free to pitch your own project to create your own team.
A project is a pitch or idea proposed by anybody, within and outside the club. A project will be introduced to the creative team and members will be able to hop onto a project depending on it’s needs. Projects will have project leaders. Typical one that pitches an idea will also lead the team for that project. Projects may vary in the amount of crew members needed or may be up to the discretion of project leads.
