Narrative Printmaking
- PAPR 491-002 (CRN 42227)
- Instructor: Mehreen Fatima
- Mon-Fri 9:00am – 2:00pm; running from June 08 – July 08
- 4 Credits
- This course introduces students to printmaking through an integrated exploration of silkscreen, intaglio, and monotype processes. Students will develop a cohesive suite of prints centered on a single concept, learning techniques such as stencil and photo-based screenprinting alongside drypoint, plate-based methods, and painterly monotype. Emphasis is placed on narrative approaches to printmaking, encouraging both abstract and figurative strategies to build meaning across multiple images.
Beginning Jewelry
- CRAF 211-001 (CRN 42636)
- Instructor: Sarah Parker
- Mon-Fri 1:00 – 5:00pm, running from June 22 – July 23
- 4 Credits
- Investigation of basic jewelry making processes such as construction, chasing, surface embellishment, and basic stone setting. Research incontemporary and historical jewelry forms.
