Yvonne LeBien is a trans poet and performer based in Queens, New York. The performance consists of her sitting naked on a stool, restricting all movement in order to remain completely still, yet trying to get up and leave the frame at the same time. During the live performance, audio plays a verbatim reading of comments sourced from videos of violence against trans people from watchpeopledie .tv. The book is an interpretation of the comments.
