The Anderson and VCUarts are pleased to present Back Through The Open Window: Selections from the Alumni of VCUarts Photography, opening Friday, February 7, 5-7pm. The exhibition, in partnership with the VCU Office of Alumni Relations, VCUarts Photography + Film Department and Candela Books + Gallery features 31 BFA & MFA alumni from the past fifteen years. Curated by BFA alums Riley Goodman and Will Connally, the show explores the various ways we as photographers communicate stories visually—ranging from personal narratives and site-specific investigations, to staged fictions and commissioned editorials. Featuring artists who interpret photography traditionally, alongside those who challenge the conventional notions of a photograph, Back Through The Open Window provides a glimpse into the wide range of accomplishments made by the alumni of the VCUarts Department of Photography. The exhibition will be on view on the second floor of The Anderson, Gallery F, through March 7th.
