Lisa Fusco joined the VCU music adjunct faculty in Fall 2019. She conducts Vox Concordia, where she specializes in treble choir and applies the principles of voice science to the choral setting. She also teaches Vocal Chamber Ensemble and each level of Keyboard Skills and developed the Functional Keyboard for Choral Musicians course. She prepares the Snow Chorus for Richmond Ballet’s production of “The Nutcracker,” and conducts VCU students in the Catholic Campus Ministry Choir at Cathedral of the Sacred Heart. As a singer and rehearsal assistant with Richmond Symphony Chorus, she has performed at Carnegie Hall, The Kennedy Center, Wolf Trap, and numerous concerts with the Richmond Symphony. Her choirs have been featured performers at three VMEA conventions, and consistently won Superior rankings in District Assessments. She is a past conductor for Richmond’s One Voice Chorus and Saint Gertrude High School. She holds a Master of Humanities degree from University of Richmond, a Choral Music Education degree from Westminster College, and has completed extensive graduate study in choral conducting, vocal technique, music technology, Catholic liturgical music, theatre, and theology.
