Mark Boulos is an assistant professor of Photography + Film. He is an artist working across documentary film, video installation art, photography, interactive digital art and virtual reality. His VR installation “Elastic Time” (2018) debuted at the Sundance Film Festival and was exhibited at Cannes and SIGGRAPH as well. His work has been exhibited in museums and biennales internationally. His solo shows have been held at LAXART in Los Angeles, FACT in Liverpool, MoMA in New York, the Perez Miami Art Museum, the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, and the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam. His work has been featured the Geneva Biennale of the Moving Image, Manif d’Art, the Biennale of Quebec City, the Berlin Biennale, the Thessaloniki Biennale, and the Sydney Biennale. Boulos received the Rome Prize in the Visual Arts in 2015. He earned his MA in film and television, documentary direction from the National Film & Television School in the UK, and his BA in philosophy from Swarthmore College in Pennsylvania.
