The VCUarts Internship Support Grant is for current graduate and undergraduate students enrolled in the School of the Arts.
Timeline:
September 1, 2026: Internship Grant Application opens for the 2026-27 academic year.
1st week of each month: Reviews begin and continue monthly on a rolling basis until all funds are awarded.
3rd week of each month: Applicants who have applied by the 1st of the month will be notified. For example, if you apply on October 3rd, you will hear back by the 3rd week of November.
Current VCUarts undergraduate and graduate students who are in need of financial assistance while participating in an internship should apply.
Recipients will receive $400 upon award. Additional disbursements will be made monthly, upon verification of completed internship hours, up to the maximum total award amount of $2,800.
Grants are contingent on multiple factors, including the student’s potential ability to succeed and linkage between the internship and real world professional goals. Students must be continuing and in good standing at the time of the internship and award.
Recipients will be announced starting in late October and will continue to be selected each month until the grant funding is exhausted.
