Winner of makeup brand Too Faced’s The Wrapped Masterpiece art competition for creating an artwork that best captured the energy of their new Ribbon Wrapped Lash Mascara. The contest award was $10,000 and her painting is currently hung up in Too Faced’s headquarters in Beverly Hills.
I made this 11 x 17-inch acrylic painting to capture Too Faced’s Ribbon Wrapped Lash Mascara’s glamour! The open mascara tube is encircled by a disco ball, a glossy cherry, and a black stiletto, which are all classic representations of fun and glitz. The painting is also intertwined with flowing pink and black satin ribbons and bows. To stick with my own style and the contest subject, I used a realistic yet painterly approach to capture the brand’s femininity and high-fashion energy.
