Pen to Print is an ongoing collaboration between VCUarts graphic design graduate students and Richmond Young Writers, a local non-profit organization that creates space for kids ages 9–18 to harness the power of their authentic voices. Every semester, writers and designers work together to create a publication titled Concurrent over the course of just one week. The work culminates in a launch and reading in Richmond that is open to the public.

Images shown here showcase the work of VCU graduate students Rasim Bayramov, Molly Garrett, Tariye George-Phillips, Aya Khalife, Nneoma Njoku, and Irene Piazza in Fall 2024.

VCUarts Office of Inclusion and Equity has awarded Assistant Professor Luiza Dale a 2025 inclusion grant for her project β€œPen to Print.”
