Black Fidelity is a project by VCU Black student organizations that showcases artworks underscoring themes that reflect one’s roots, culture, and elements that shape them. This exhibition, Black Fidelity: From the Roots Up took place at The Anderson February 1 – March 1, 2024.
Unfolding in an exhibition and series of events from February 1st to March 1st on the top floors of The Anderson, Black Fidelity is a project by VCU Black student organizations that showcases artworks underscoring themes that reflect one’s roots, culture, and elements that shape them. The Black Fidelity mission is dedicated to reclaiming agency over the story told by white power, reforming public perceptions of difference, and representing Black identity’s past and future realities through different art mediums. This includes but is not limited to photography, graphic design, film, visual art, performing arts, and more.
