VCUarts and The Anderson are pleased to present Yes, I also make work too, the second annual exhibition of artworks by staff members from The Anderson and Institute for Contemporary Art at VCU, will be on view on the first floor of The Anderson.
As the exhibition title suggests, many of the part-time staff members that support VCU’s art spaces are artists in their own right. This exhibition showcases artworks by 19 Anderson and ICA team members who—as art handlers, gallery assistants, visitor experience associates, and artists—are an integral part of the VCUarts community.
Curated by team members Lu Biondi and Julia Park, the exhibition features artworks by Reyane Ashtar, Lu Biondi, Jenna Casey, Amina Coleman-Davis, Hannah Dunn, Savvy Figueroa, Vivian Hamilton, Richard Howard, Laela Huddleston, Kailey King, Geovanny Mejia, Hannah McHugh, Zachary Montgomery, Alexa Moran, Aaron Tran, Katie Turcios-Hernandez, Eva Weisert, Theia Wetzel, and Akili Williams.
