Treble choirs from across Richmond are coming together for an afternoon of music and community! Vox Concordia of VCU and Richmond Allied Voices Treble Chorus are co-hosting “Generations: A Concert Celebrating Treble Choirs”– a free performance on Saturday, April 5, at 4 p.m. at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church (815 East Grace Street).
Admission is free and open to the public.
“Generations: A Concert Celebrating Treble Choirs” features Vox Concordia, Richmond Allied Voices Treble Chorus, Orchard House Middle School Chorus, and Greater Richmond Chorus. Each ensemble will sing several selections of their own repertoire and then join in a final piece with all choirs.
Conductors Lisa Fusco (Vox Concordia) and Erin Wind (Richmond Allied Voices Treble Chorus) envisioned this event to build a supportive community for upper-voice choral singers and their conductors, and to showcase treble choirs in the Richmond area. There currently is no local opportunity for treble choirs to connect as full choral ensembles to share ideas and learn from each other, and Generations fills that need. Plans are to make this an annual concert featuring different area school, community, and church choral ensembles.
