The Anderson is accepting proposals for exhibitions of artwork by VCUarts graduate and undergraduate students for the 2026/2027 academic year. Interested students are invited to attend an info session on February 20th, 1 pm at The Anderson.
Who Can Apply
- VCUarts students who will be enrolled in the 2026/2027 academic year looking to install a solo or group show of VCUarts students.
- VCUarts student affinity groups active in the 2026/2027 academic year looking to propose juried exhibitions of VCUarts students.
- VCUarts faculty seeking to exhibit VCUarts student artwork related to a specific course or departmental initiative.

General Overview:
Participating students and faculty are expected to be available for in-person exhibition planning meetings at The Anderson leading up to their exhibition. Each show must have a VCUarts faculty mentor supporting the exhibition through exhibition planning, installation support, and general mentorship as needed. Participating students are responsible for tasks including installation and deinstallation of artwork, creation of promotional materials according to the guidelines set forth by The Anderson, creation of gallery sheets using provided templates, and other tasks required for their specific work to be put on view to the public. Please note that the Anderson is not equipped with an elevator.

The proposals will be reviewed on overall excellence in creative scholarship, educational impact, community impact, clarity of the proposal, and the overall feasibility of exhibiting within the time and space constraints.
