Exhibition Statement:

ANIMAL INSTINCTS is a group exhibition by Craft/Material Studies majors Kristiana Curran, Tzvia Feldman, and Gracie Sager that examines the untamedness of true human nature. We pose a series of questions to the viewer about our wildness and estrangement from it, the natural relationships between ourselves and our craft, and the suppression of feeling present and listening to our instincts in the name of transhumanism. “ANIMAL INSTINCTS” is the amalgamation of many late-night discussions between three queer animals, as well as a growing nihilism with the coldness of an increasingly transactional age. The three artists use ceramics, metal, painting, fiber, poetry, glass, and mixed media to curate a space that invites you to ask questions and get in touch with your animal instincts.
