Tracy Leipold has a background in performance, experimental theater, and music. She studied classical voice for 18 years and is trained in the Meisner acting technique. Tracy is primarily known for her performances in installations by video artist Tony Oursler who she began working with in 1992, and with whom she did a live performance at the New York Public Library in 2014. She has worked in the areas of Video Production, Post-Production Sound, Graphic Design, and Theater Production as well as being an artist assistant. She has been working as the Coordinator for the VCUarts Arts Research since 2016.
