Instructor - Movement Instructor - Movement
Kendall grew up in Wilmington, North Carolina and was raised in a diverse range of theater styles–from shadow and large-scale puppetry, to Shakespeare, to musical theater and straight plays, she has always had an avid passion for all styles of theatrical performance. She earned her undergraduate degrees at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, in Dramatic Arts and Communications with a Concentration in Performance Studies. She then earned her Master of Fine Arts in Theater Performance and Pedagogy from Virginia Commonwealth University and focused her graduate thesis on Queer Storytelling in Theater, a personal and professional topic that has always been important to her work and research. Her dance background and love of devised theater lends itself to teaching Movement in the VCU Theater Department, and she continues to work professionally in the community as an Actor, Director, and Dramaturg. She also proudly works on staff at Richmond Triangle Players, the leading Queer Theater in the Mid-Atlantic.
