Jeff Hudson currently serves as Adjunct Professor of Tuba at Virginia Commonwealth University, directs the VCU Tuba and Euphonium Ensemble, and performs with the VCU Faculty Brass Quintet. He also teaches trombone, euphonium, and tuba at Virginia State University in Petersburg, Virginia. Previously, Hudson served as adjunct faculty and doctoral teaching assistant at George Mason University where he taught courses in music theory, brass methods, graduate aural skills, and an introductory course in music software.

As a freelance artist, Jeff has performed with members of the National Symphony Orchestra, the Baltimore Symphony, the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Richmond Symphony, the Rodney Marsalis Philadelphia Big Brass, and Boston Brass, among others, and is a proud member of the American Federation of Musicians. He has also been featured as a soloist and clinician in various settings, including multiple music educator association conferences, music festivals, and guest artist recitals.

Hudson studied with Dr. Ross Walter, former Boston Brass tubist Andrew Hitz, and world-renowned brass pedagogue David Fedderly while completing his Master of Music degree at the Peabody Institute of The Johns Hopkins University.

In his spare time Jeff loves to spend time with his family, and resides in Mechanicsville, Virginia, where he also owns and operates River City Brassworks, a small business specializing in brass instrument maintenance and repair.
