Ashley W. Grantham (He/They) is originally from N.C. and graduated with an M.F.A. in Performance Pedagogy from VCUArts (May 2019)! His/their thesis regards: “The Ground On Which I Stand”: Healing Queer Trauma through Performance: Crafting a Solo Performance through the investigation of Ritual Poetic Drama within the African Continuum (as facilitated by Dr. Tawnya Pettiford-Wates). Ashley has been so fortunate to have taught Introduction to Stage Performance, Play-Reading and Play-Writing, Effective Voice and Speech and Speech for Business Professionals. He/They live in Henrico with his/their cat Sasha Velour (yes, that’s really her name!) To all who journey to VCU, who wish to take charge of their education and growth, Welcome.
