Darby Libka

Darby Libka earned her MA in Geography in 2021. During her work as a geographer, Darby used photography as a way to understand how people create their own versions of space and place, and how photography is a method used to incorporate place as a part of individuals’ presented identities. She also studied how the design and location of memorial spaces influences the meaning of place. She is passionate about supporting learners, collecting postcards, going on adventures, and coffee. Darby has called Richmond home since January 2022, and is excited to be working with AFO students at VCU!
