Life on Campus

From the moment you get here, you’ll notice that campus is buzzing with a fervent energy. Students practicing their craft — painting, performing, designing and studying — as an impromptu bucket-drum concert provides the backing soundtrack. At the heart of this excitement, VCUarts buildings and facilities hold classrooms, studios, performance spaces, galleries, music halls, workshops, machine shops, photography labs, computer labs and so much more. It can be hard to tell where campus ends and the city of Richmond begins—and to be honest, it won’t really matter. It’s all at your fingertips.

Home to the Arts

A living canvas of creativity, the city of Richmond offers countless museums, theaters, performance spaces, studios, murals and more. The entire city pulses with artistic energy.
