Fashion Event Alumni Preview

Join fellow alumni for a preview of the annual VCUarts fashion event at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts on Monday, April 27, 2026. Enjoy an exclusive opportunity to get a close-up look at this year’s runway, and connect with fashion design and merchandising students. Admission fee includes a lively reception, a first look at their year’s designs and a commemorative takeaway. The evening’s synergy will celebrate connection, mentorship and the unbridled energy that is VCUarts Fashion.

What is the Annual Fashion Event?

The VCUarts Fashion Event is the highly anticipated pinnacle celebration for the Department of Fashion Design + Merchandising featuring original concepts from 70 design and 200 merchandising students in front of an audience of hundreds. It is a highlight of the academic year and a dazzling runway event where the students’ designs are artworks in their own right. The theme of this year’s show is Synergy.

    Access the job board and interview research and preparation tools at VCU Career Services. Within your first year after graduation, you may schedule career advising appointments.
  • Continuing Studies Scholarships

    You may apply for scholarships available exclusively to alumni, such as the Fulbright program. The VCU National Scholarship Office provides helpful information sessions and essay-writing workshops for applicants.
