Gil Andrei Fontimayor is an American visual artist of Filipino descent. He was born in Oakland, California and raised in Anaheim and San Diego.
Harnessing creative coding languages, moving graphics, acoustics, generative AI, photography, painting, printmaking and typeface design, Fontimayor traverses the uncharted and distinct landscape of classical and quantum computing dualities to translate his findings of ecological shifts, loss of earthly innocence, the quantum multiverse and fragility of subatomic particles at the intersection of emergent realities.
His work has been mounted in group and solo exhibitions throughout Europe and is in the permanent collection of the Plakatsammlung der Schule für Gestaltung in Basel, Switzerland.
He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communications and Advertising from VCU’s College of Humanities and Sciences. He did graduate studies in visual communication at the Hochschule für Gestaltung und Kunst Basel FHNW in Basel, Switzerland.
