VCUarts and The Anderson are pleased to present, Metamorphosis, an exhibition of artworks by recent Communication Arts graduate, Fin Soto. The exhibition will be on view on the first floor of The Anderson in Gallery C.
A series of four allegorical paintings recontextualizes and combines the story of the creation in Genesis with Franz Kafka’s metamorphosis. Embodying the Creative Nomad, Soto utilized a wide range of academic resources. Consulting fellow painters and professors within VCUarts, alongside an array of knowledge from other majors at the university. The exhibition provides a unique space for the audience to engage with Soto’s art not only as an experience, but to step into a deeply personal world of desperate expression in the face of commercial and academic expectations.
