Mariah Barden Jones is a designer, artist, writer, and educator. Her practice delves into themes of impermanence, serving as a bridge between the tangible and the intangible, exploring the intersection of materiality and memory, of how we construct our identities through the narratives we create, and how those narratives can be reshaped by experiences that alter our cognitive landscapes.
She earned her MFA in Design with a concentration in visual communications from Virginia Commonwealth University, and BFA in graphic design from Virginia Tech. She has worked with Covergirl, La Perla, Max Factor, Catbird, R+Co, and more. Her work has appeared in The HTML Review, The New River, Are.na Annual, Flat Earth Film Festival, and more. She currently runs clique books with her cat Seahorse and organizes Desire Paths with Raegan Bird.
