Asia Rorick (she/her) is an Admissions Counselor for Virginia Commonwealth University’s School of the Arts and holds a B.F.A. in Communication Arts from VCUarts. As a student, Rorick was actively involved in various organizations and publications, including serving as a contributor and editor for Emanata Comics Anthology and as Program Coordinator for the Richmond Indie Comic Expo. She gained valuable experience guiding her peers through strong communication and organization skills, constructive and thoughtful critiques, and insightful career research—all of which she now brings to the VCUarts Admissions team.

Most recently, Rorick was awarded 1st place in the Richmond Office of Elections’ 2024 “I Voted” sticker contest. Her sticker features Richmond’s unofficial mascot, the opossum, and will be used at all 72 polling places throughout the city in the upcoming November election.

As an artist, Rorick enjoys working with bright, organic colors and textures. She also loves hand lettering and illustrating small creatures and plants. When Rorick isn’t at work, you can find her in her vegetable garden looking for bugs or spending time with her two mischievous cats.
