Lillian Lewis (assistant professor, Art Education) has been an artist/educator/researcher in P-12 U.S. public schools, art museums, community nonprofits, and higher education prior to joining the faculty at VCU. Lewis’ work explores collaborative learner-led inquiry with and through materials, investigations in and of natural and built environments, and intersections of conceptual art and pedagogy. Lewis received her MA in art education and graduate certificate in museum education from University of North Texas and her PhD in art education and graduate minor in art history from The Pennsylvania State University.
