Venture Creation Competition! Register by February 1

Published on December 20, 2012

VCU’s da Vinci Center in collaboration with the School of Business and Office of Research is hosting the 2013 VCU Venture Creation Competition.  This competition aims to spur an innovation and entrepreneurship culture here at VCU by encouraging students to submit new product/business ideas.   Winning entries have the opportunity to win up to $5,000 in prize money.

The registration deadline is February 1, 2013.

The competition is open to all VCU students, and there will be two divisions – one for graduate students and another division for undergraduate students.  Deciding on which division to enter will be based on the majority composition of the team.  For example, if 50% or greater of the team are VCU undergraduate students, then the team can enter the undergraduate division.

Aside from prize money, competitors will be able to network with local leaders in the entrepreneurship arena.  Financiers and lawyers also will be attending to provide professional advice.   For more information and competition rules, refer to http://www.davincicenter.vcu.edu/programs/vcc/.
