Richard Mansfield studied at RPI from September 1967 until he graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1971, with a B.F.A. in Painting + Printmaking. His experience led him to write “When I was a Low-Life, An American Education,” which was published by Estuary Publications in 2010 and billed as the “culmination of nearly 40 years of writing, as well as occasional thought.” Since then, he has continued to publish works of non-fiction.
