In March 2017, Kristie Couser joined the Sterling and Francine Clark Art Institute (The Clark) as Curatorial Assistant for Works on Paper. In this role, she supports the Manton Curator of Prints, Drawings, and Photographs in all aspects of collections research, exhibitions, publications, and interpretation and coordinates the activities of the Manton Study Center for Works on Paper.

Previously, Kristie served as Curatorial Assistant for the Mellon Collections at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts (2013-17). In addition to generally supporting the Head of the Department of European Art, Kristie co-curated the exhibitions The Rachel Lambert Mellon Collection of Jean Schlumberger (2017), Remnants and Revivals: Architectural Etchings by Charles Meryon and John Taylor Arms, (2016), Félix Bracquemond: Impressionist Innovator (2015), and authored the didactics for THE GREAT WAR: Printmakers of World War I (2014).
