While still attending VCU, I got a gig as a graphic designer for the Richmond Times-Dispatch. Since then I’ve worked at Richmond’s own PUNCHLiNE, C-Ville Weekly, as a graphic artist at the Wall Street Journal in NYC and I’ve done freelance work for Metro US in NYC. I completed my Master of Arts in Illustration at the Fashion Institute of Technology in 2010.
While at VCU and after graduation in Richmond, I was part of the local art, comics and music scenes and also worked at Sticky Rice as a sushi chef / manager. Since then I’ve gone on to DJ in several NYC clubs, release music on beatport, sell my comics at MoCCAFest and work as a sushi chef at Madison Square Garden. I really miss VCU because it was so incredibly creativity and cool.
